We are currently unable to accept orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii due to shipping delays.

Shipping perishable foods is different from shipping other goods. It's a carefully choreographed ballet - our meals require special care to stay frozen from start to finish. GUARANTEES
Prices listed herein can and do change from time to time based on market conditions. The prices for our meals are based on market conditions and do change from time to time on an individual basis. We also charge a $0.35 fee for each change of starch and/or vegetable made from the default selected for each entree. Once you place your order and pay for it via our shopping cart, your order is considered final. Any returns, credits, and/or cancellations for other than quality reasons will be strictly at the discretion of Send a Meal management. Our 100% satisfaction guarantee applies to the quality of our food and our customer service. It does not cover returns, credits, cancellations, and/or returns purely for convenience and/or personal reasons outside the scope of our services. We guarantee the quality of our products and their delivery in good condition. Because we produce a perishable product, we CANNOT accept returned food items. We will first review your situation and, following this, credit your Send a Meal website account for any food item or meals that were damaged, spoiled, or impaired as a direct result of shipping or delivery. We do not make cash refunds to your credit card under this guarantee.
Delivery Day
Please understand that since all of our meals are made by chefs, we can NOT guarantee your delivery day because, as a small company, peak order days can overwhelm our staff. In addition, we cannot be responsible for FedEx, which delivers our meals outside of our courier area in the metropolitan New York area, and any number of reasons completely out of our control can delay your order getting to you. FedEx can and has delayed shipments for reasons that include weather, work stoppages, FedEx employee mistakes, holiday volume, etc., and Send a Meal cannot be held responsible for these unforeseen issues which are out of our control. For this reason, we pack all FedEx shipments with extra dry ice to ensure the cold integrity of our shipments for more than 24 hours from FedEx's scheduled delivery day.
Shipping Policies
FedEx Shipments: All sales on this website are for shipments from our commissary. We never ship outside of the USA under any circumstance. We guarantee delivery only to the addresses we are provided. Unlike other items you might buy over the internet, food has to be treated with a great deal of care to ensure it arrives at your doorstep in perfect condition. To guarantee this, we typically only ship FedEx Monday through Wednesdays; otherwise, your order may sit in a shipping warehouse over the weekend – and we wouldn’t want that! Therefore, depending on the day and time you place your order, your package of great-tasting food may ship immediately or as late as five business days from the day you place your order.
White Glove Deliveries: If for some reason you cannot accept the order on the day of delivery, simply call our offices before 10:00 am, and we will hold your order for another day of your choosing based on our delivery schedule. If you do not call, then please plan on your order being delivered on the day promised. Our courteous delivery personnel will attempt to ring your bell and hand you the order in person. If you do not answer the door, then the order will be left at your front door. We do not refund orders that are not accepted in person for any reason. If your order defrosts and is still cold to the touch, then we recommend that you do not refreeze them and store your meals in the refrigerator as soon as possible. They can be safely stored in the refrigerator after completely defrosting for up to 4 days. If you place your still frozen meals in the refrigerator to defrost and take them out when needed, they can be stored safely for 5 days from the day of delivery.
Address Correction and Improper Addresses At Time Of Ordering
Please be especially careful to provide us with an accurate address at the time you place your order. If you feel you made a mistake, please call our customer service at [Insert Customer Service Number] to make any corrections. If you provide an incorrect or incomplete address (i.e., forget to include your apartment number, incorrect street address, city doesn't match zip code, and we cannot resolve your address), we will charge an address correction fee and/or a second delivery fee for having to redeliver your order a second time.
