Tarte Flambée is also known as Flammekueche in Alsatian, a traditional dish fron the Alsace region of France, bordering Germany. Its origins can be traced back to the 18th century, when bakers used leftover dough to create a simple meal for their families. The Tarte Flambée dough was spread thin, topped with simple ingredients like onions and cheese, and cooked in a wood-fired oven.

Each order comes with two 8 oz. Tarte Flambées. Each flatbread serves 2-4 as a gourmet appetizer or light dinner. This is French food at its best. Bon appetit!

Meal Preparation
Tarte Flambée
Oven: Cook from Frozen. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) for 10 minutes. Remove all packaging and place frozen Tarte Flambée on a pizza grid. If not available place on parchment paper or baking mat directly on the oven rack. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Using a spatula, lift the Tarte Flambée carefully to ensure center is no longer soft. If needed, bake for a few more minutes until the center is baked. Let stand for 1 minute and serve hot. Due to oven variances, heating times and/or temperatures may vary with oven. Do not microwave.

    We have had something similar, but this was better--more toppings, nicer crust. With a green salad, it makes for a tasty light meal. That said, the price point is a little high, especially when you factor in the shipping costs. Would order again, but only occasionally at this price
