How does your service work?
All meals and food products can be delivered nationwide. Each meal, with the exception of the live lobsters, is shipped frozen. The meal(s) will still be frozen when received. The meal(s) are shipped in specially designed cooler boxes with dry ice. The dry ice comes in a specially designed plastic packaging that is easy to handle, and contains handling instructions and warning labels. All of meals are very simple to prepare. Each is fully cooked (except steaks) and only need to be reheated in a microwave or conventional oven. Each meal selection will come with easy to follow cooking instructions.
Can I ship my order anywhere?
We ship and deliver our meals nationwide, withinthe continental US. The meals cannot deliver to PO Boxes or APO and FPO addresses. To guarantee delivery, we must have complete addresses. We'll gladly deliver to rural routes with complete addresses and telephone numbers. We can no longer ship to Hawaii and Alaska.

Unfortunately, due to the perishable nature of our products, we can only ship to addresses within the United States. We do not ship to Canada or Mexico.

How do I cook my meal(s)?
Each meal you select will come with an "oven" and a "microwave" cooking method to choose from. Some meals also offer "grilling" and "sear roasting" methods. Simply choose the method that fits your lifestyle for the evening!
I just placed my order online. How will I know the order was received?
You will receive two email confirmations for each order placed online. The first email should arrive within 10 minutes after completing your order. It confirms receipt of your order and provides you with your order number. The second email is sent the moment your product is shipped and provides you with your package tracking number.

Can I select an exact delivery date?
Yes. Use the "Future Delivery" box during the checkout to specify a particular delivery date. Please note: Although we make every effort to deliver on your requested date, delivery dates cannot be guaranteed with Ground Shipping. Because we are bound to the shipper's (UPS, FedEx) delivery schedules we cannot guarantee delivery times of day. Business deliveries will occur prior to 5:00 PM and residential may take up until 7:00 PM.
Can I send a personalized message with my gift?
Absolutely! Remember to include your message in the "Card Message" box provided during checkout. Your order will arrive with your personalized gift card.
Is your site secure for shopping?
Absolutely! We use Symantec Norton, McAfee, & PayPal to protect our customers. While shopping, you will see the Norton SSL security seal on the checkout page. This seal verifies that the page is being displayed over a secure link.
Do you accept phone orders?
SendaMeal.com is an internet service providing quality, wholesome meals delivered to your door. Our aim at Send a Meal is to provide you with the fastest and most cost effective option available when looking for either every day or special occasion meals. We provide real time, online customer service during the regular business day and additional email support after hours. Either way, a customer service representative will answer any questions you have regarding our products and services as quickly as possible. Do I have to place a minimum order?
There is never a minimum order at Send a Meal. Buy as little or as much as you like.
How will I know when my order has shipped?
You will receive a shipment confirmation email after your order has been shipped. You can track delivery status on our website with our UPS/FedEx Tracker on our Tracking page. Be sure to include an email address and password when you place your order.

What is your policy if I provide an incorrect shipping address?

Although this is rare, occasionally the shipping address you type in has errors. If an incorrect address was provided, and the food is shipped/delivered to the incorrect address, we will be happy to reship your meals to the correct address, however, we will have to charge you in full for the reshipment.

Due to the perishable nature of the meals, orders already in transit cannot be canceled or rerouted.


* Address corrections after an order has been completed, may incur a $15.00 address correction fee.
My package was delivered late. Can I get a refund for my shipping fees?
Yes, but this is a limited guarantee and is only offered for 2-Day and Overnight shipments. If the parcel carrier fails to deliver your package on time, your shipping charges will be refunded. This offer excludes all Ground shipments, and attempted deliveries to apartment addresses. However, our refund policy does not cover: weather delays, Ground shipments, and high seasonal shipping volume (such as Thanksgiving & Christmas).
How are your products shipped and what shipping options do I have?
We currently use UPS and FedEx for delivery. And, you don't have to be home to receive your package. Our delivery companies are asked to leave your package at your front door (excludes apartment locations). We also offer 2-Day Air and Next Day Air delivery options. Please see our Shipping Schedule page for complete details. Your products are shipped in a polystyrene cooler packed with dry ice to insure that they will arrive frozen and in perfect condition. You can include special delivery instructions, but we cannot guarantee the instructions.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. We offer free shipping on select meals, all of our occasion meal vouchers with email and USPS delivery, gift certificates with email and USPS delivery and for the meals that your recipient selects. We also offer free shipping on all of our Meal of the Month selections. However, the free shipping offer is only extended to the continental US. We do not ship to Alaska and Hawaii.
What is your privacy policy?
Send a Meal.com takes your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy.
When you register we ask for information such as your name and email address. We also collect payment for products online via your preferred credit card. We will in no way share your personal information with anyone outside of Send a Meal.com. Will Send a Meal really save me time?
YES! First, you can skip that time consuming trip to the grocery store. You'll have complete meals in your freezer, ready to go at a moments notice. Second, our meals are ready to cook ... you won't waste any time slicing, dicing, measuring ... all those preparation steps are done for you. The cooking time on our meals varies from 15 - 45 minutes, depending on the cooking method you select. Because our meals are shipped for distributions centers from major suppliers such as Omaha Steaks and Lobster Gram we help make life even easier, you can simply select the meal that fits your schedule for the evening!
My credit card was declined, but my account shows a charge pending. Why?
The expiration date, security card code, zip code and billing address you enter must match exactly what your financial institution has on file for your account (including the street address). If not, the transaction will be denied but your financial institution will likely place a "hold" on the funds for up to five business days even though the transaction is denied due to this address data mis-match. We do not control the authorization process. We are not charging your account multiple times in these situations.
Side Item Substitutions
Due to the importance of delivering orders for special occasions, such as funerals, birthdays, and anniversaries, on specific days, we may make a substitution for vegetable side items of equal or greater value to ensure timely delivery.
I forgot to enter the coupon code when I placed my order. Can I still get my discount?
Sorry, but you must have the coupon code and enter it during checkout. We regret that we cannot process these discounts manually or retroactively. You are only allowed to use one coupon per order.
How can I change or cancel my order?
Once an order has been submitted, it cannot be altered or cancelled for any reason. To ensure we ship your package in your requested time frame, the order is immediately sent to one of our warehouses to reserve the inventory and prepare for shipment. Once it is at the warehouse, we are not able to locate any individual order to change or cancel, due to the volume of orders at a warehouse at a given time. Please review your shipping address, gift recipient information, and selected ship date prior to placing an order.
Nut Allergies
The meals we provide are processed in facilities that do handle nuts. Although we do not include them in all products, we certainly want to make all of our customers aware of this information.
Fraud notice.
In the event Send a Meal determines, in their sole discretion, that an order may be fraudulent, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any such order, for any reason, at any time, and whether or not the order has been confirmed.

What is your Refund/Return Policy?

ALL REFUND REQUEST MUST BE SUBMITTED BY EMAIL ONLY. If you are not absolutely thrilled with your purchase from Send a Meal, for any reason at all, we'll cheerfully replace your purchase or refund your money, whichever you prefer.

When you order from Send a Meal, your satisfaction is always guaranteed... so you can order with complete confidence. If at any time you have problems with an order, simply EMAIL CustomerService@SendaMeal.com. Please make sure to include as much order information as possible, to help us expedite your request.

We reserve the right to limit refunds and replacements. We guarantee delivery only to the addresses we are provided; which are confirmed on the order acknowledgement. Refund and replacement request must be received by email to customerservice@sendameal.com within seven days of the order being delivered.

Shipping Accuracy: Check your addresses carefully! Send a Meal reserves the right to make corrections and to limit refunds and replacements if an address error is made.

Our guarantee extends only to correctly addressed orders. Our meal shipments are perishable, and we cannot guarantee the condition of the package if the delivery service has to reroute the cooler. We guarantee delivery only to the provided address confirmed on the order acknowledgement.
What is your Gift Certificate Policy?
Gift Certificates are not redeemable for cash. Redemption value not to exceed the purchase order price. Gift certificates expire one year from the date of issuance at which time a new certificate code maybe issued to the named recipient and a 20% administration fee will be applied. Service fee policy applies to all subsequently issued codes and all codes hold no value after five years. Valid Gift Certificates maybe cancelled by sending a request to customerservice@SendaMeal.com. Cancellations are subject to a 15% cancellation fee. *This policy does not apply to Occasion Meal Vouchers.
What is your Occasion Meal Voucher Policy?
Occasion Meal Vouchers are not redeemable for cash. Redemption value not to exceed the purchase order price. Occasion Meal Vouchers expire one year from the date of purchase. No substitutions allowed. Menu items subject to change without notice. Blackout dates may apply during high volume and holiday seasons.
What are your Terms and Conditions?
Terms and Conditions: I accept the terms and conditions of this web site and acknowledge I am responsible for providing correct shipping address. I understand I cannot make changes to my order or apply a different promotional code from what was redeemed. If my order includes a gift, I understand it is my responsibility to ensure the gift recipient will be available to accept the gift. I understand my credit card will be charged when I place an order, even if I have selected a future ship date.
Where is my order?
If you placed your order online, look under the “My Orders” section of your account. Once your order ships you will see tracking information there, as well as receive an email.
