Summer is finally here! The season just creates such a feel-good vibe that spills over into a relaxed party mood. People just feel like celebrating and enjoying the moment - and, let's face it, we do need to seize the moments of summer sun in England! Whatever your occasion, you can be sure that summer party catering will be right at the centre of your plans. At this point your imagination may already be running wild with ideas for your summer party. In case you need some inspiration here are some ideas for catering for your summer party event: Venue/Theme Church/community halls, pub rooms, houses, stately homes, hotels, marquees, tents, barns, gardens or even a field are all possible venues for your summer gathering. Of course, your party doesn't have to have any theme but it can sometimes be fun to do so, depending on the type of event. A traditional garden party, barn dance, fairy and magic, sporting events, Hawaiian, James Bond, flowers, woodland or summer solstice theme all lend themselves to the time of year. Food and Drink Once you have decided on your venue, theme, and have an idea of how many guests you are going to invite then you can focus on the all-important decisions of what food and drink to serve. Food - Delicate canapes, pasta salads, crusty rolls, crunchy crudites, prawns, smoked salmon, cucumber sandwiches, mini-burgers, meat/veg skewers, quiches, strawberries and cream, fresh fruit salad, and ice-lollies/ice-cream all epitomise summer in edible form! Drinks - drinks too can really add to the vibe and provide summer in a glass! Cloudy lemonade, iced tea, ginger beer and elderflower cordial on the non-alcoholic side. Prosecco, Pimm's, fruit punch, cider and light summer ales if you're serving alcohol. Providing summery fruit cocktails and non-alcoholic versions could also be fun - especially if guests can mix them themselves. Just make sure you provide lots of ice too to keep everyone cool. Consider professional summer party catering To ensure your party goes with a swing it may be worth thinking about using an experienced catering company. This can really cut down on the stress of organising your party and allow you just to sit back and fully enjoy the experience! A good company will communicate with you from start to finish to take your ideas and turn them into reality. They will be covering all bases and can be as involved as much or as little as you wish. You can relax in the knowledge that the food and drink will be freshly prepared, transported to the venue, served and (best of all) cleared away at the end of the night leaving you free to party the summer night away with your guests.
